The Concept
I-LAUGH-YOU is an ART project which wants to publicly discuss the relationship of art and capitalism.
The image is a self portrait of the artist and it is sold in 6059 different pieces. Each piece can only get sold once. The first piece is the cheapest (100$). Price will increase exponentially, the final piece costs 1000$.
Through this system the project wants to showcase how the price of art develops with popularity. Most likely the first pieces that are the cheapest will be the most beautiful/interesting. But the more popular the project gets the more prestige it will become to own a piece of the artist and thus people are also willing to pay lots of money.
Each piece will get delivered to your home. It will measure 60x80cm.
